Hardwood or Faux Wood Blinds, Which Is Better For You?
Blinds have been the go-to window treatment for centuries. They feature a timeless look, clean lines, and versatile privacy and light control. It is easy to see why they are one of the top sellers at Ida & Norma's Draperies. When it comes to picking out the perfect blinds for your home, there are several factors to consider. To help you make the perfect decision for your home, we've listed out some of the pros and cons of each type of blind.
Hardwood Blinds
The warm and rich texture of authentic wood is hard to beat. Hunter Douglas Parkland® Wood Blinds are made of 100% hardwood. These blinds have a naturally timeless appeal that complements classic and modern style homes. With dozens of stains and finishes to choose from, you can find the perfect tone to match the decor of any room.
Hardwood blinds provide natural insulation UV protection that can help reduce your home's energy consumption. They are an excellent choice for bedrooms and living rooms. They are also simple to clean and often require only dry dusting or a soft cloth and wood polish.

Hardwood blinds don't stand up well to high humidity, as it can cause the wood to warp. This means that hardwood blinds are not a great choice for moist climates or rooms like the bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room. Luckily there are other options for those rooms.
Faux Wood Blinds
