Technology has evolved exponentially in the last few decades, especially in the home. Laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones have put the knowledge of the entire world at your fingertips. Keypad door locks, wireless cameras, and electronic alarms have vastly improved the security of your house. Color-changing lights, controllable outlets, and automated thermostats have given you a new level of control over the look and feel of your home. At Ida & Norma’s Draperies, we like to be on the cutting edge of window treatment technology, and with Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation, we are.
Sleek Operation
The first thing you will notice after the installation of PowerView® window treatments is the complete lack of cords, wands, tilt bars, and pulls of any kind. Your windows will be completely free of clutter, allowing the window treatment to really shine through. Operation is powered by batteries hidden discreetly in the headrail. You can also choose our environmentally friendly rechargeable battery wands or a DC power supply if you prefer.
Simple Controls
Controlling your PowerView® system is easy and intuitive, and there are a variety of control options. The PowerView® App lets you control your shades with a swipe or set up customized scenes that you can easily schedule or switch between. The wireless PowerView Hub connects to your home’s WiFi network and provides a central point of control. You can install a Pebble Surface in each room or opt for the handheld Pebble® Remote which can easily operate up to six different window treatments. Or, if you prefer, you can connect the PowerView® system to your existing equipment like Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Logitech, IFTTT, or Loxone and control your window treatments from your smart home hub.
Variety & Safety
Hunter Douglas sheers, roller shades, roman shades, honeycomb shades, horizontal blinds, vertical blinds, side panels, and drapery are all available with PowerView® Automation. You are never limited on your style, material, or color choices when it comes to this system.PowerView® Automationalso puts you in control of lighting options, allowing you to set the shades to block out glare at different times of the day or darken the living room for a nap. With a combination of preset scenes and schedule control, this system lets youopen your blinds in the morning to allow natural sunlight to wake you up. The PowerView® system also adds a level of security and safety to your home. The lack of cords means there is no danger of a child or a pet getting tangled. Your blinds can also be controlled from anywhere via your smartphone, which means you can open and close your blinds even while on vacation, giving the illusion that someone is home even when you aren’t.
